Swans is an American experimental rock band originally active from 1982 to 1997, led by singer, songwriter andmulti-instrumentalist Michael Gira. The band was one of the few groups to emerge from the early 1980s New York no wavescene and stay intact into the next decade. Formed by Gira in 1982, Swans employed a shifting lineup of musicians until their dissolution in 1997. Besides Gira, the only other constant members were keyboardist/vocalist/songwriter Jarboe from 1984 to 1997, and semi-constant guitarist Norman Westberg. The band became known for its experimental instrumentation and repetitive song structures. In 2010, Gira reformed Swans without Jarboe.
Ne Obliviscaris are a six-piece extreme progressive metal band from Melbourne, Australia. They use a variety of instruments consisting of a violin, two guitars, bass, drums, clean and extreme vocals. The musical influences ranges from progressive to black, thrash, death and melodic metal, and classical, jazz, avant-garde and flamenco.

Overkill is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. They have gone through many line-up changes, with singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and bassist D.D. Verni remaining from the original lineup. Along with Anthrax, whose one-time lead guitarist Dan Spitz was also an early member of Overkill, the band is one of the most successful East Coast thrash metal bands.
